Covid-19 Precautions

During the current coronavirus outbreak we are asking guests to the pool to continue to follow the current government guidance on social distancing and to follow the Swim England Guidance to Pool Users (a copy of the document is available below).

So that our guests can enjoy their visit to the pool we have taken the following additional precautions.

  1. DO NOT COME SWIMMING if you are showing symptoms or have been diagnosed as having Covid-19 (Coronavirus)
  2. Before entering the pool building please use the hand sanitizer situated next to the entrance doors of the pool building. Please do not enter the building more than 10 minutes before your booking time.
  3. As per current guidance the maximum number of people allowed in the pool area at any one time is 10, and those people cannot come for more than two households (this restriction will mean that in general children’s parties and swimming groups of friends will not be able to use the pool until this guidance changes please check with us first before booking).
  4. The reception area will not have any furniture in reception any more, this means there will not be a signing in sheet available, as pens pencils etc. cannot be left out in case of cross contamination.
  5. Our regular Customers that pay on the day will have to bring their payment in their own envelope as we cannot leave envelopes out in reception for this purpose. Please write your name and swim date so we can monitor attendance at the pool.
  6. We have invested in a disinfectant fogging machine which will allow us to disinfect the reception and changing rooms on a regular basis. The machine works by delivering a disinfectant as a very fine mist to all surfaces. We are introducing enhanced cleaning regime to make sure the pool is always ready for our guests to use in the safest way possible.
  7. Changing rooms will have hand wash and anti-bac wipes for Customers to wipe down before/after if so desired.
  8. During the current public health emergency we are unable to offer the use of the sauna to our Customers. As soon as that guidance changes we will advise Customers that the sauna can be used again. The hot tub will be available to Customers as the water is treated and at a high enough temperature so that the virus cannot survive.
  9. During the current emergency we would ask that guests do not linger in the reception area pre and post swimming and leave the facility as soon as practical. We hope that in time we can relax this advice so that you can once again enjoy a relaxing after-swim, maybe enjoying a drink or snack from the vending machines we can install when safe to do so. Please vacate the building within half an hour to prevent more than one family being in reception at one time.
  10. The pool building design and the use of separate changing rooms means that you may never meet the guests using the pool before or after you. If there is an occasion where you do meet others in building, please observe the current guidance on social distancing.
